The FA protecting the beautiful game.

Let me start by saying I wholeheartedly agree that if a player decides to stick a finger, or both fingers for that matter toward opposing football fans, many of whom will more than likely be children then that particular so-called professional should be punished. If you were lucky enough to work at McDonald’s and proceeded to give the finger to one of the paying customers you would more than likely be dismissed, but then if one of your colleagues were to do exactly the same thing the following week would you not expect to see them get exactly the same punishment, and more importantly if you had not received any punishment from your bosses for your misdemeanor, should your colleague expect the same.

So Luis Suarez makes a finger gesture toward Fulham fans and receives a £20,000 fine and a one match ban.

This is that gentlemen of the beautiful game Mr Wayne Rooney giving the same  sign language toward Chelsea football fans some who would have been children who hero-worship Mr Rooney. So what kind of fine or punishment did he receive from the custodians of our beautiful game, well as there was no evidence he was actually directing this gesture toward supporters and in fact was making a point to the referee that he should use his eyes, he received no punishment.

In the same fixture where Luis Suarez gestured toward the Fulham supporters, Liverpool football club were also charged with failing to control their players. So what were they guilty of, well as a Liverpool player was sent off for a reckless challenge on a Fulham player the Liverpool players surrounded the referee to tell him they thought he was wrong, something that is seen every weekend at every Premier League game where a contentious decision is made. The result that Liverpool were fined £20,000 there is a theme starting here.

Quite a few teams looking out of control!!!!!

Now this season has seen many teams looking completely out of control, but would you believe that not one of the above teams has either been charged or warned about this behaviour, one rule for one McDonald’s employee and another rule for the other!!!

The very same organisation gave Jay Spearing a three match ban for his sending off in the Fulham game for what was at worst a genuine if miss timed challenge and probably only deserved a yellow card, around the same time the FA are appealing to FIFA to get Wayne Rooney off a three match International ban which he received for deliberately kicking out at an opponent out of pure frustration and stupidly getting himself sent off.

So Wayne Rooney is England’s saviour and of huge importance to the English FA and his Manager Sir Alex Ferguson is well in with the FA and can constantly use his media machine to his own and his players benefit, the other Luis Suarez is of no interest to the FA and has been called a diver from Sir Alex, of course he would never suggest his players were ever capable of diving, Ronaldo, Van Nistlerooy, Nani to mention a few who have also been accused of diving. So who are they going to side with, well whoever it suits them at a particular time, my point is they have no real credibility

Christmas & all its joy.

Well that’s another one over and just the New Year to get through, the descent toward crossing another year off begins in earnest.

I received a Christmas card from my Mother which stated ” To my son on your first Christmas” I’m only 44 years of age so not quite sure what she was trying to imply, possibly the one year old cards were on sale prior to Christmas. Selection boxes that have chocolates that were designed for a tiny, tiny, very tiny mouth, I’m sure chocolates were never this small when we were children, replace rip-off Britain with rip-off Sainsbury’s.

Not a drop of snow, no cold, no rain ” Do they know its Christmas, at all”  the ozone has really gone to town this year, maybe Mr Cameron & Mr Clegg will be asking for the oldies to give back their winter payments seen as they didn’t really need it this year. What on earth happened with Christmas Television this year it’s as if terrestrial TV just gave up, I can honestly say I can’t remember one decent thing that was on the TV this year not even any decent repeats I have had to resort to UK Gold to find them.

The crap that has infested the music charts at Christmas over the last few years continued with its relentless pace and really out did itself this year with Soldier Wives singing all the way to top of the pop charts, the only bonus that it stopped the Cowell machine from its usual Christmas deception and mind control.

Then the Sales hit and every man and his dog go mental, and by the sight of the queues at some of the Christmas sales I saw on TV there were actually more dogs than man, who said a dog is not just for Christmas. Why on earth do these people feel the need to actually camp out in front of a store in the early hours of Boxing day in the hope that they may be able to get 37p off the price of a HD TV  just to replace the HD TV that they already have sat in their front room, that’s all it is the need to want things, to own things in the hope that it will fill their otherwise empty existence, I find it sad the fact that they don’t understand that it’s all a big con, they are being conned carried away in the excitement in a complete knickers wetting con, how many of last seasons shoes can you really have, how many do you need to feel happy.

Bah to the Humbug.

Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not. A sense of humour was provided to console him for what he is.
